Lightroom Trial Installation Errors

I downloaded the lightroom trial two days ago and still have several errors upon opening it up and have not been able to use the product:

I first get: Could not call C function: private_load_AgCoreTech

It takes several clicks of ok or the x to close out of that and then I get: Win32API error 193 ("(unknown error)") when calling ::LoadLibrary from getCFunction

I click ok and get the first error again. When I click okay it loads lightroom.  However, there is no way to import a library and when you click on library, book, or slideshow I get other errors.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled with the same errors, exited and logged back in,  rebooted and still no luck. I posted in the installation forum and had one suggestion to download the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update from Microsoft but that didn't fix it either. 

There is no phone support for this product either and with the 7 day trial limit I'm running out of time and only have 5 days left to see if I want to switch to this product.
