Lightroom V4 to V5 Upgrade?

I recently purchased Lightroom V4 and then V5 was released 2 days later.  Is there a free upgrade for recent purchasers?

Ordered it on June 3rd and received it on June 6th.  Installed and requested student verfication on June 8th.

LR 5 is available for all Creative Cloud customer and you don't have to pay anything else.

I am not a creative cloud customer.  I purchased a shrink-copy of the software on DVD.
