    Thanks for all your ideas,

the solution was easy in case you know it. The Installation CD includes an additional Folder "Win Support files", where annother exe-file is included. Using that exe-file the set up works.

Could be better designed by Adobe.

    Hi Michael,

Kindly try to install in compatibility mode:

    You can also try:

    1. Right click on the program's shortcut, .exe file, or installation file.
    2. Click on Properties.
    3. Click on the Compatibility tab.
    4. Check the Run this program in compatibility mode for box.

    Thanks,

    Hi Michael,

You can follow the article: How to troubleshoot issues that may prevent a program from being installed correctly on a Windows Vista-based computer and check whether the installer is running in Compatible Mode or not.

If the check box for Compatibility Mode is checked and simply UnCheck it and click Apply.

Run the installer and again and check if it still gives you any error message.

Let us know if it works or not.

Thanks, but compatibility mode is not my Problem. I have Windows 7 installed, but for som reasons Lightroom identifies it as Windows Vista.

    Best regards
