I need to re-load my Acrobat Pro-

Step 1
First Visit this link:

http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop_lightroom NO LONGER A VALID LINK
This step is important as it will set a session cookie on your system and therefore allow you to
use the direct download links from the Adobe servers. Make sure you do not block this cookie session. Ensure that you are logged in with an Adobe I.D. as this is now mandatory for Adobe. Don’t download anything on this page; it is imperative that you keep this link open for the duration of the download as to keep the cookie session activated. Once the download starts it will ask if you want to; "Run", "Save" or "Cancel", ensure you select save, it will continue to download within the browser.

Step 2

Click the Download Links and save them on your PC: Acrobat X Pro Win

The program file did download to my "Downloads" file on my PC. Then the prompt says the files must be extracted before I can use them. The extracted Adobe Acrobat folder is: C:\Users\Gary\Desktop\Adobe Acrobat X. The box gives me three choices, "Confirm, Skip, Overwrite". "Skip" is highlighted. I click next, and it says its "Preparing Files". That's as far as it goes. I've tried "Confirm" and "Overwrite" but nothing works. The "Preparing Files" box does nothing.

    Please help.

    Gratefully,

    Gary
