Logging in

I have purchased a year of CC on the students edition and i have had my student status confirmed and been told i have access now to it - yet i can still only get trial versions. My illustrator trial has expired and it says buy now, if i click on it it says activate and i need to sign in to do so - so i do and then it says that i need to enter the serial number, but as a CC product it says there are no serial numbers needed yet for some reason i don't have access to that. What do i do - cause as a uni student its a lot of money i have wasted if i can get any use out of the bloody programs
