Question

Looking to move CS6 to another computer - can I do it?

Hi Adobe Users,

I have an CS6 on my new mac and I'm looking to move it to an older mac laptop and put CC on the new mac that currently has CS6. I tried calling ADOBE for HELP - but all they could suggest was to go to a forum to get answers. So, would anyone know if I can do this or would I totally lose CS6? Thanks for any help you offer.

    Adobe products are non-transferable.

For information regarding activating or deactivating Adobe products on your computer, please follow the instructions in this document:

Activate or Deactivate an Adobe product

You can also refer to: sign in and sign out of the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app

    Hope this helps.

Not sure what is intended by that statement but, as written, it is not the case.

Adobe products can definitely be uninstalled and reinstalled on different computers, as requested by the original question here. They can also be sold other parties.

Deactivate CS6 on the current Mac.

Then, provided the older Mac meets the CS6 system requirements, it's a case of downloading the software

    Download Creative Suite 6 applications

Install then enter your serial number.

CS6 on the older Mac has no impact on installing the Cloud version on the new Mac. They are separate products.

Thank you John Waller - I will deactivate CS6 and install on my other mac!!!

I read on one forum:   "Can I Move My Programs to a Different Computer?"

that you can have two different installations - does that mean I can own one license and install on two different machines? Perhaps wish full thinking, but that would be very helpful.
