Lost added buttons on page

Question

I added buttons to every image page for ease of navigation while looking at an image but when I updated the text on the image in Behance and then updated it in Portfolio I lost all of my buttons. As if it wasn't enough of a pain to make customized buttons as there are no global button preferences, I've now lost all of the work I did in creating them. Does anyone know why re-importing from Behance deletes everything added to the page on Portfolio?
