LR 6 reinstall: serial number expired/invalid

Trying to reload Lightroom 6 on Win 10 box as crash. I have valid license (purchsed from Adobe), shows in my account. After install I get message it is invalid or expired. Chat with agent varified my serial number but he said too old, no support, can't help, contact the support community.

Ideas on how I can get LR 6 up and running?

you're welcome.

for others, the op had an upgrade serial number for lr6.  that means after entering the lr6 serial number, they were prompted for the qualifying product's (eg, lr5) serial number (because lr 5 was not installed and activated).  entering the correct number at the correct time allowed lr 6 to activate

you have to use an installation file that matches your serial number or you'll get an invalid serial number message even with a valid serial number.

Thanks for your reply.

I used the original installer file from 2018. Otherwise, any idea where I would find a different installer that matches what I purchased?

afaik, there's no way to determine (from the serial number) what installation file you need.  but you're pretty limited to the installation files that are available so there's no much you can do access the correct installation file.  ie, either it's downloadable from your account or prodesigntools.com.

the best would be to download the installation file from the same account that has the serial number you're using. otherwise, most (but not all) adobe download links are available from prodesigntools.com. https://prodesigntools.com/adobe-direct-download-links.html

follow the directions (esp, step 1)

save the install file. it may not remain online.
