Hi bill418,

Though your question doesnt really tell, what OS you have, but you have Lightroom4. So if you have to do it, and remove the prefrence files manually, here is the link that you can use, and it gives you the steps to do it on both the OS's Mac and Windows7, unfortuntaely LR4 was not Win XP. (Pun Intended )
