LR5 Download Problems

Why can I not open the LR 5 free trial once it has been downloaded? Pop-ups are disabled.

Any advice/suggestions would be apprciated.

    What is your operating system?  Have you actually installed the software after downloading?  What happens when you try to open it?

    Hi Pat

    Thanks for responding to my question. I must admit, that I am not very knowledgeable with computer software. I however have downloaded a number of items in the past without difficulty.

    My operating system is Vista. If I understand your question correctly- no, I am unable to install the software after downloading. In summary, the process I tried to install Light Room 5 (30 Day trial) is as follows:

    -visited Adobe website

    -clicked the icon to download

    -clicked the lower left-hand corner box-asking exe file to open once complete.

    -despite my efforts on a few locations, exe file would not open and I wasn't able to install software.

    -visited my computer programs and found Lightroom exe file and try to open from there without success

    -also unblocked pop-ups to no avail

    Would appreciate any suggestions you might have that would solve my dilemma.
