MacOS Ventura: Adobe CC downloading but not installing, simply ends: now what?

Hello, I can download the e.g. installed for Photoshop on my MacOS Ventura 13.6 ("Photoshop_Installer.dmg") and it start up, a colorful "Adobe Creative Cloud" window pops up and fetches the downloads, a popup is displayed with a text "Adobe Creative Cloud will launch in 5 seconds", a countdown, and then... simply ends. No crash info, no nothing. The DMG file has disappeared. No CC installed, no Photoshop, no nothing.

What now?

Thx for any pointers.

if anything cc is already installed on your computer, repost that info and do NOT proceed.  otherwise,

clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

install the cc desktop app using the "alternative download links" at the bottom of the page at https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-app-download.html

use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials
