Using the Creative Cloud, I would like to  download some apps to one laptop, several others to another, and the rest to yet another and then download all apps to my desktop as the backup. May I do so? If so, how? Will using several programs each on different computers but not the same program at the same time be some kind of violation? (ie. Photoshop on laptop 1, Illustrator on laptop 2, Fireworks on laptop 3).  Thank You for your time.

No need to turn this into an academic discussion: You have two activations and that is that, meaning you can install any number of programs in any number of combinations on 2 machines and use them, but no more. Anything else is neithere legalyl nor technically possible. Read the EULA. If you need more activations, buy another license.

Not really anything academic about it. I have asked a straight forward question and thankfully have received a straight forward answer.
