Question

Missing files, Creative Cloud, folders missing, cloud storage

Hi,

I tried to back up the files I have stored on CC in an external drive. I copied and pasted the folder and got the notification that the drive didn't have enough space, so I clicked cancel. When I went back to CC all the files stored in the folder I tried to back up were gone. I share said folder with two other people and neither of us has been able to recover all the files that dissappeared. We were able to restore some versions of the files from our "deleted" folders but that's been it. If there is any way to recover my files I could really use some help.

Thank you

Hi,

This should not happen, I imagine you only copied the information, because it is not moving, but copying to your external disk. If something was deleted and is quickly in the deleted folder, something else happened, the deleted data remains for a while in this folder, therefore it should not be lost.

If you have the option in the administration console, you could ask for support from the Cloud in the chat with Adobe.

Thank you Wilder,

It seems to be a sync issue. Some files have started to appear over time. Though it'd still be nice to have a definite answer to why this happened in case it ever occurs again.

I've moved this from the poorly named Community Help forum (which is the forum for issues using the forums) to the Get Started forum so that proper help can be offered.
