Hi,

I have just downloaded the Creative Suite 5 onto my new laptop (OS is Windows 7) and for some reason the Photoshop icon is missing from my computer. It still functions as it should, but it is an annoying aesthetic problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I should also warn you that I am not very tech savvy!

Ok, in that case i think the icon file might have been moved or damaged.

Lets try the below step :

> Right Click on PS CS5 exe file -> Properties -> Shortcut Tab -> Change Icon

> Select PS icon from the list -> OK

> If you don't see PS icon is that list, Click Browse and browse to Photoshop.exe file [(C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5 (64 Bit)..for 64 bit) and (C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5)..for 32 bit] -> OK

Check if that Helps!

I think you mean to say, you do not see the Photoshop CS5 icon on your desktop. Is that correct?

Go To Start-> Type "Photoshop" on the search bar -> Right click on the Photoshop CS5 icon (that you se from the search results) -> Select Send To -> Desktop (Create Shortcut)

That should give you the icon of Photoshop CS5 on your desktop.

If, its not what you mean, please ellaborate the issue.

The shortcut is there but it has a generic app picture not the Photoshop logo.
