I Tried to download the upgrade to PSE11 which I purchased.  The first file (LS25.7z) downloaded O.K. but on trying to download the .EXE file I got an error message saying that the PSE12 archive was missing.

do you mean ...on trying to run (not download) the .EXE file you saw that error message?

if no, you need to explain.

if yes, did you extract the 7z file?  if yes, don't.  just put the exe and 7z files in the same folders and run the exe.

Thank you for your most helpful reply.  I downloaded and saved the extracted files and ran the .exe file. The PSE12 logo appeared on my desktop. On clicking it the welcome screen came up. However when trying to access the organizer the "barbers pole" at the bottom the organizer section just flashed for 30 secs or so then stopped.  The organizer screen was not displayed, however the edit screen seemed O.K. except it looked a bit washed out.  Any ideas?

Thanks again for your help.  Incidentally when I downloaded the trial it worked just fine.

    Best Regards

"I downloaded and saved the extracted files and ran the .exe file"

no files should be extracted.  just save the 7z and exe in the same folder (do NOT extract the 7z file) and run the exe.
