Move Adobe CC library to an external HD
I am struggling with space on my computer due to the size of my CC Library. When I look on the forums there seems to be conflicting feedback on if it is possible to house the library on an external drive. As many of the responses are rather old (2017ish) I am posting this now to see if there is an update to this issue.
My HD is rather small (only 250GB) and as it is a work asset I do not have the option of updating it currently. My library is taking up over 120GB of that space. This means when I am working on large files, unless I run a very clean machine with very little else saved to it then I get a lot of messages telling me my scratch disks are full. This results in me frantically removing everything from my downloads and desktop to be able to save my file. It really is a massive inconvenience that could be easily remedied if Adobe provided a way to save the library to an external drive. I’m sure I am not the only person suffering from this issue.
Adobe, can I move my existing CC Library to an external HD and change the pathway for new assets to save to? If so how do I dod this?
