I have a new laptop and need to move Adobe photoshop Elements 2018 to new lap top but the technician cannot do this without some sort of number or key or something which I cannot now find.  Having had the programme for a long time.  Help!

2018 is legacy software that's no longer supported.  Since you have a new computer, this would be an opportune time to upgrade to compatible software that's fully supported.

Adobe apps work on these operating systems.

  • Windows 11 (64-bit) versions 23H2, 22H2; Windows 10 versions 22H2, 21H2;
  • MacOS 14.7 (Sonoma), 13.6.7 (Ventura), 12.7.6 (Monterey).

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

you have 3 ways to recover a serial number that you once had:

1. if you purchased from or registered with adobe (automatically done with cs6), you can check your account, https://accounts.adobe.com

 2. if your adobe program is installed on another computer you can recover its serial number from that computer,

(mac:) https://mac-product-key-finder.com/
