I couldn't deactivate my version of Photoshop CS2 before my computer died. How can I install in on my new computer?

    John:

Don't mean to be excessively stupid, but can you provide the link for the CS2 version of Photoshop which does not require activation?

    Thanks,

    Bob

Sorry, it no longer exists. The non-activation version was an interim measure for a short while several years ago.

My post above is 7 years old. Things have changed radically since then. Adobe has now killed off CS1, CS2, CS3 & CS4.

CS2 (and earlier) Activation Server replacement software

When you install the special version of PPro2 on a Win7 or Win8 computer, you MAY need to right click the program icon and select WinXP compatibility from the option popup... AND Vista problems https://forums.adobe.com/thread/416347

I can't understand this response. I click on the link and it's confusing with term about versions that need activation and those that don't. I have my original disc, but it doesn't seem that that can work, but how do I find a version that doesn't need activation, and then again why doesn't it need activation? I just want to install what I have.

You may NOT install what you have... you MUST download and install the special version from the link I posted
