My Creative Suite Standard 5.5 won't install on my Surface Pro 3 from an optical disc drive (external)

Any suggestions?  I get the "restart is pending error message" that aborts installation.  I tried the steps here:  Troubleshoot error messages | Bootstrapper CS5, CS5.5, but I don't have an "inprogress key" in my regedit file in the location specified.

    Thanks--I'm not sure what the exact issue was, but I was able to download the CS 5.5 and enter my serial number.  I received the same error message during installation, but the installation did complete successfully.

    Harrym22710003 were you able to create a new local administrator account successfully?  Have you verified that there are no pending updates?  This error is caused by the Windows Installer Service indicating that it is applying a different update.
