my institution purchase me a CS6 disc to install but it did not seem to come with a serial

I know they purchased a license for close to $300 and I was given a disc but cannot install . Where can I find a serial #?

    The serial number is normally on the disk casing.  If it is not there your only option may be to contact the institution and have them acquire it and give it to you.
