my serial number is valid but they can't find a qualifying product on my computer, though I installed CS6 without problem, what's the problem?

I just bought CS6 web and design premium. I got my serial number and download and installation was successful but when I enter my serial number I get a message telling me my serial number is valid but they can't find a qualifying product on my computer, though I installed CS6 without problem, what's the problem?

    What you describe is indicating you purchased an upgrade to CS6.  It is asking you to identify and provide the serial number for the older version that you are upgrading from (CS5 or CS5.5).
