My serialnumber isn't valid

I had problems with the installation cd for Photoshop elements 7.0 By way of the download page i could install this software .De serial code was used on my old PC who was working on XP Pro service pack3 Now i'm working with Windows 8.1. I've installed this programma without any problems but my serial on the box from my cd is not accepted.

    Check to make sure you are using the right number...

    I checked and rechecked it's the same serial number that i used on my XP and what is revered on the product case.

    There is no misstake from my side. I don't know what is not right
