Question

My streaming service killed my CS6 products

I have purchased Adobe products for  the last 20 or so years. I have an old computer that the operating system was not updated and was successfully running  all  my CS6 products. These are all licensed to me and I paid for them. I recently bought a new computer and signed up for streaming, this worked fine but now my old computer will not run my CS6 products. This is stealing as far as I am concerned, I have not updated this computer’s operating system on purpose and have paid for this software and now it does not work. I have since canceled my streaming on the same Adobe id that I used for both computers. I started a new Adobe account for my streaming account on the new computer but my CS6 versions still will not work on my old computer with my original Adobe ID. It starts up fine, this fizzles out. How do I get this fixed and working again? when I called tech support, they were not helpful and had no idea how to get me my software back.

I should probably mention also that Adobe's Activation Servers require newer TLS protocols for security reasons.  Without this, you can't activate CS6 after re-installing.  See link below for details.

I don't know what you mean by streaming account unless you're referring to Behance Live Streaming which has no impact on your use of legacy Creative Suite products.  So something else is going on.

Try using the Adobe Cleaner Tool below to wipe all old Adobe products & services from your system.  Restart your computer.

https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

Use the installation disks you received at purchase to reinstall CS6.

NOTE 1 : Creative Suite installers won't work on macOS Sierra, High Sierra or Mojave without terminal workarounds. See the help article below.
https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/install-creative-suite-mac-os-sierra.html

NOTE 2: Legacy Creative Suite is discontinued & unsupported. Use at your own risk.

Beware of fake Adobe reps who may contact you privately offering to sell you software or take control of your computer. It's a scam, run away! Real Adobe employees will never reach out via Outlook, Yahoo, Gmail or Skype.

He means subscription, not streaming. Not sure how he got to one from the other.

Thanks for the information on the workarounds for him.

Ok, CS6 was made many years before mojave, so it may be very difficult to install it. (Later systems it becomes impossible for sure). You probably started with an older Mac OS and upgraded, which can work. Anyway, what we need now is to see if anyone has any insight into ways to install CS6 on mojave, to get around the error in your screen shot ("Installer failed to initialize. This may be due to a missing file")

I think @Nancy OShea has links to setting up the CS on some of the later Mac OSes. I forget if it's Mojave or High Sierra that is the most recent one that it can be installed on.

When you say "streaming service" you mean "Creative Cloud"? No wonder we're confused because Creative Cloud isn't a streaming service in any way. It installs apps on your computer, just as CS6 did. The only real difference is that it's subscription based.  Yes, if you install Creative Cloud you will mess up CS6 licensing, possibly beyond repair.

If you want to reactivate CS6 after uninstalling Creative Cloud and are having issues, then first download & run the Adobe Cleaner Tool:

https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

Then after that's done, reboot your computer and follow these steps:

So, I tried above, called tech again, they said that i have delete and reinstall software. so we did this. we ran this cleaner software, now they cant install creative cloud. error 702. when i follow link for CS6 installing issues. it says to look at keychain. when i looked at certificates it says that adobe is not trusted. adobe intermediate CA 10-3" certificate is not trusted  Is this why I can’t install Creative Cloud?

Your software is out of support for years, but maybe we can help, not being part of Adobe. It's not clear who you are accusing of stealing (the streaming people? Adobe didn't change it). So let's not go there. What EXACTLY happens now when you try to run this app. "Fizzling out" doesn't really tell us enough to go on. Does it crash with a message? Get slower and slower? Lock up? Start showing wrong on screen?  I don't undestand what you mean by "canceled my streaming on the same Adobe id" - what's the connection between an Adobe ID and the streaming?

I understand that the CS6 is out of support. When I spoke to the tech support, they said that I can not run 2 version of the software at a  time. Which I understand with the streaming software. That is fine. However, what happened is that it assumed my old versions of the software was me trying to run 2 two versions. When in fact neither should have anything to do with on another.

The software launches fine, it load up to the ready screeen then just stops and disappears. I get the error message your software stopped.... When I spoke to tech, they said that Adobe stopped my older verison from running. I have since deleted my streaming on this Adobe id and created a new one.

*The CS6 products launch as normal, but after original screen, they disapear. As if it is checking my Adobe acct and i thinks i am running 2 copied illegally and shuts them off.
