Need additional software to run Photoshop?

My computer is telling me that I "need additonal software" in order for some of the parts of Photoshop CS6 to work. How do I find out what kind of software this is and how do I get it?

We neeed more info. System specs, operating system etc.

I am on Windows 7 on a laptop and I just purchased Photoshop CS6. I accidentally checked the box that said not to show the error message any more, so I don't remember exactly what it said, but Photoshop won't let me use many of the editing features, they are grayed out.
