Question

Need to know file size of downloads

How can I find out the file size of your automatic downloads?  My ISP charges me for downloads by the kilo/mega byte, and I have no choice of providers in my very rural area.  If you could say in advance how large the file is, I can decide whether to download it at home, or wait until I can go to town and download it elsewhere.  Thanks!

Depending on the product you can turn off the automatic download option.  You can then visit http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/ to see the size of the applicable updates and download them manually.  You will want to do this though on a regular basis as with the automatic update feature turned off you will not be notified of the update.

Alternately when notified that an update is available you could view http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/ prior to initiating the update.  Again though this is going to depend on the Adobe product which you are updating.  Some products download first if they have an active Internet connection available and only prompt prior to installing the update.
