New Creative Cloud Desktop App

Hi,

in the new version the process bar for uploading files to Creative Cloud files is missing. in former versions you could see it on the mac when clicking in menu bar icon. 

Now it says only "uploading 1 of 1 file". That doesn't help when you are uploading a 1 GB file...

 

Please bring back a progress bar!

This web site is peppered with complaints about the creative cloud application. The proposed solutions, including adobe's, do not work. You can erase the application, which doesn't remove the trash files. You can then erase the residual files in /User/. But nothing, nothing removes the desktop icon or whatever it is. I didn't give permission for this installation and it now hangs there like an intrusive blob. 

 

How do I get rid of this thing?

uninstall everything cc including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html
then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html
clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
