New installation files provided are not ME version of CS3

Hi,

I purchased Adobe CS3 (the ME version) very many years ago. A couple of months ago, it was not getting activated. On chatting with customer support, I was told that the activation servers had been retired because the software was very old. I was given a new serial number and new installation files. I was told to completely uninstall my old CS3, re-install with the new installation files and use the new serial number and I would be good to go.

I asked and made sure with the Customer support person that I would be able to type Arabic and that I was being given installation files to an ME version. They replied in the affirmative. (I have the chat transcript!!)

Anyway, alas, I am unable to type in Arabic, and all my old files when opened in this new installation crash if I try to type in the Arabic textboxes.

How can I get my old ME version back, and still be able to activate it?

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

I don't think Adobe would have installer files for CS3 ME since those days ME installer files and media were made in France by Winsoft. Any how, can you track where you purchased the license from? Was it a retail box or a certificate license?

What was the bundle you purchased eg. Design Standard, or Design Premium as I might find installer with me but I cannot guarantee it will be compatible with your original serial number since Winsoft used to issue different builds periodically.

Thank you for your reply. I dont think that would work either because I still have my old installation files and there is an activation issue with that.

I believe you're better off buying a CC subscription so that you access your ME files and using ME features in the CC applications.

that's not possible at the current time.  you can request that, Feature Request/Bug Report Form
