    Hi Zimkitty2!,

Adobe Photoshop CS 3 is a very old software, and you have mentioned that you purchased a new machine, hence there could be compatibility issues as adobe has not tested these apps on the latest operating systems.

See, Adobe - Adobe Creative Suite 3 Master Collection : System requirements , System requirements for Adobe Creative Suite 3 point products

Kindly let us know what is the operating system of your machine, and what is the exact error message you get while trying to install the product?

Please let us know if you are using the disk to install CS 3?

Have you tried downloading and installing CS 3 from the following link Download Adobe Creative Suite 3 products

If you still face issue, please also refer to this FAQ’s for Creative Suite - Installation Failed and Launch errors:

    Awaiting your response.

    I have "Windows 10".  I have a disc for Adobe Photoshop CS3, ser#

( Removed by moderator- Please do not post your personal information here ).  In a chat session on Monday, the assistant  said

that this number is not valid . . . however I used this disc to load onto  my

old laptop perhaps a couple of years ago.  I then tried my older  version,

Adobe Photoshop CS2, ser#( Removed by moderator- Please do not post your personal information here ) and was able to  load

all the way, but at the very end, when the app window comes up, it asks  that

I register (which I already had done on previous laptop), and when I

register, or even if I click on "register later", a warning comes up  in a

rectangular box with a red X, as follows . . . ADOBE PHOTOSHOP - An error has

been detected and activation cannot continue.  Please restart your computer

and reinstall the application".  When I do that, the same thing happens  over

    and over again.

    Hi Jim,

There seems to be something incorrect in these serial number as we are unable to track them. These are invalid serial numbers.

Please re-check these and let me know via private message.

CS 3 is now end of life and we have limited resources to offer, also it was never tested on windows 10.

Check the system requirements links mentioned in my previous post.
