New MacBook. Trying to get my CS4 to download. Not working.

I got a new Mac Book for Christmas this year and in attempting to get my CS4 on my new computer I've tried the following with no success and was directed here by the customer service team:

- Downloaded the directed files Download Adobe Creative Suite 4 (CS4) products  (The CS4 Design Standard).

- I click to set it up once both links are downloaded and it says: "System Requirements Error - This software cannot be installed because the file system of the Setup volume is not supported"

- Then I was directed to these forums

I have a serial number and I have the original CD's. This Mac doesn't have a CD player so I was trying to download and install.

Please help! Thanks

Your new computer is not compatible with your very old software

If you need help figuring out how to change your file system to make it compatible with old software I suggest you ask in a Mac forum

Or call your nearest Apple dealer
