Question

Newly installed trial version of PS CC (on Windows 8) stops working right after it's open. What should I do?

Photoshop CC 2014 launches and opens, but within seconds I get an error message stating: A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Then the program closes. At this point PS is useless. Running Windows 8 on a Samsung notebook.

I found several threads about people having similar issues with Photoshop not working. I updated the graphics driver and it resolved nothing. Event log for the most recent crash after the update:
