I have an mac where CS6 was installed before. The update from the cloud did not work. I deinstalled every program and used the cc cleaner and also the adobe cleaner. I installed CC but when i want to install apps, i can´t even see apps. There is a warning sign and when i press on >apps< it says: >there is a problem. close all instances of adobe application manager<.

I already deleted the folder AAM and something like OObb, wich was told by an old posting.

What should i have to do to get this fixed.

Hi StefanHeg,

Follow the below steps for Download Error under Apps tab,

1. Open Activity Monitor from the Utilities folder under Applications.

2. Check for Adobe processes such as Adobe Crash Daemon, Adobe CEF Helper, Coresync, Creative cloud, If you find them Force quit it.

3. Open the finder window and press Command + Shift + G button.

It will open the Go to folder search box, in that type ~/Library and then click on Go.

Then, go to Application Support/Adobe folder and delete the AAMUpdater and OOBE folders.

4. Now, open the Go to folder search box again, in that type /library this time and then click on Go.

Notice that this time it is just /Library and the ~ symbol is not included.

Then, go to Application Support/Adobe folder and delete the AAMUpdater, Adobe Application Manager and OOBE folders.

5. Now, open the finder window and Press Command + Shift + U button.

It will open the Utilities folder, from there delete the Adobe Application Manager and Adobe Creative Cloud folder.

6. Now, run the cleaner tool from the below link. Do not click Clean All button.

Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6

In the cleaner tool, check if you have Adobe Creative Cloud or Adobe Application Manager listed, If found select it and click on Clean Up Selected button.

If not found, close the cleaner tool.

7. Download and Install the Creative Cloud Desktop from here : Free Creative Cloud | Download Adobe Creative Cloud free trial

Launch the Adobe Creative Cloud from Applications folder > Sign in and click on Apps tab.

If you still face the same issue, please try enabing the Root user account in your Mac and restart the computer > Login to Root account and try to access the Creative Cloud App.
Find the steps to enable Root user account : OS X Mountain Lion: Enable and disable the root user

Hope it helps.

Thank you.

Hi Jeff, i got no error code. Look at the second picture. He only says i have a download problem. I tryed now everything and nothing worked. I´m very frustrated. I need to work with my laptop

Once again, what i already tried from different posts here in the forum.

- deinstalled everything from cs6 and cc. Used the adobe cleaner. Used the ccleaner from primed. Than installed  cc and same problem.

- Deinstalled everything again, tryed to install cs6 but than i got problem from the first pic. Installer could not be initialised. Download the Support Advisor / but the advisor is already offline at adobe website.

- also tried to deleted/rename the OEBB map, but it doesnt fix the problem.

Hi, StefanHeg

For Download error , Try giving permission to Adobe folder under the ~/library/ Application Support.

Follow the below steps:

1. First quit the Creative cloud desktop app from the gear icon on the top right corner of it.

2. Open the finder window and press Command + Shift + G button.

It will open the Go to folder search box, in that type ~/library and then click on Go. Do not forget  to add the ~ symbol

3. Go to Application Support folder and right click on the Adobe folder and click on 'Get info'.

4. Under Sharing and permissions,  click on Lock icon and enter Administrator user name and password.

Click on symbol, select Administrators and click on Add, then give 'Read and Write' permissions to Administrators.

Click on symbol again, select current logged in user name and  click on Add, then give 'Read and Write' permissions to current logged in user.

Give 'Read and Write' permissions to Everyone, System, Admin, users.

Then click on Gear icon and select the option 'Apply to Enclosed items'.

      Click on Lock icon.

5. Now launch Creative cloud application and check if it is working

Rahman

Hi Jeff i did already al of these things. But i got no spinning wheel. There comes directly a   on the tab "apps"  and in the app tab window it says: "download problem - pls connect adobe support". But my connection work, because the installation on the windows 7 machine in the same network did the update perfectly.
