My computer has been out of commission for a while.  When I finally got it working again, it started with that pop-up.  Which I don't understand.  I bought the whole adobe set from the school I was attending.  I'm guessing it's because they got rid of the stand alone programs for the "Cloud" and charge everyone a monthly fee.  Honestly, I don't use them enough to justify paying for a subscription.   It just doesn't seem fair that I bought the suite and now it tells me I have a version I can't use anymore.

Exactly which version... is this a question about CS6 or something earlier?

I don't have a link, but I did read a discussion the past about a college version that was designed to have an expiration date, rather than the usual of the program would run as long as it was installed on a compatible operating system
