I have Windows 10 and use Chrome.  today my non HTML5 video's worn't play, (youtube and such) the sound is there, but no picture.  I guess the HTML5 video's are playing correctly.  I uninstalled chrome to no avail.  I'm at a loss??  Is this a windows 10, chrome or   adobe player problem??

Correct answer montermahan

I found the problem.  I turned off "hardware Accelerator" and hit relaunch and it now workes fine.  I don't know how or if it changed as it had been working for years and I didn't mess with settings.  I did use a program that lets me save audio from youtube to my computer, maybee it changed my settings.

Glad you were able to figure it out! That can be so very frustrating.

montermaham,

You may hate me for asking, but have you:

1. Installed any new updates?

2. Restarted your computer and all software?

3. Is it just your videos or all videos?

It doesn't seem like it would be an Adobe product issue, but more of an operating system, but we would need more information to be sure.

it's not a flash player problem (because youtube doesn't use flash player).
