not able to connect to adobe at home with Verizon but can at school

I cannot connect to the adobe server while I am at home, but it is fine at school. I have spent hours with adobe tech support and have gotten nowhere, I am now home for break and need to be able to work. I have verizon fios and went to another house with the same and again i couldnt use it.
