nothing happens when I download any app

I am new, just subscribed for a year membership. I am attempting to download photoshop or lightroom. When I click on download my Creative Cloud window opens and it just sits, Installing Update 0%. For hours. What am I missing? I originally went in search of photoshop as a stand alone and must have missed the window.
