Hi there, I'm trying to install the older version of After Effects 22.5. Everytime I uninstall version 22.6 and re-install 22.5, on trying to open the App it's reverted back to 22.6! It is so frustrating. I need the older version so I can open .FLA files within AE. Please help - I'm totally stuck :^(

Correct answer Marnooo

you're welcome, and glad you're up and running, but i'm confused.  you had to deselect "import previous settings and preferences" or you had to deselect "uninstall previous versions"

I selected auto-update under Apps and unchecked 'remove older versions' under Advanced settings. All sorted.

Marnooo, are you using the process listed in https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/using/install-previous-version.html to install After Effects 22.5?  The latest version will be fetched if you click on the install button as described in https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/download-install-app.html.

If you continue to encounter problems installing After Effects version 22.5, then please begin a secure chat session at https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen to see if a copy of the installation files can be made available.  Not all versions and releases are available for distribution so please be understanding if a specific release is not available for download.

Amazing - thank you. This has worked for me. The culprit was the Preference settings :^)

if you have a trial, you can't install previous versions.

if you have a subscription, embed a screenshot of the install option you're using.
