On Mac OS Catalina 10.15.2 Cannot Install Newest Lightroom

Because my LIghtroom 5 seemed to stop working (wouldn't import photos), I decided to upgrade and get the latest Lightroom (and Photoshop) using the "Photography" plan.

I have been having issues installing.  I have combed these boards and have seen others have the similar isses.  I can download the application, but when I click for installation it goes as far as the "warning" that you are installing an application.  After that, no installation.

I have tried some of the things mentioned on these boards including uninstalling Cretive Cloud, but my computer won't even allow me to do that with an error stating the uninstaller needs to be updated.

I am paying by the month for an app that I can access.  Please help me.  Thanks in adavance for any help you can give me.

Sorry, you are having problems, Jessica. If you still have Lightroom 5 installed, and are running macOS 10.15, then the current error is because 32-bit application components are still installed on the computer.  It is asked that you remove any 32-bit applications, as part of the macOS 10.15 update process, because it becomes challenging to remove them after you have upgraded.

We have updated the CC Cleaner Tool to remove older Adobe applications under macOS 10.15.  You can download the CC Cleaner Tool from https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html.

For more information on running Adobe applications, under macOS 10.15 or later, see https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/fix-macos-64-bit-compatibility-errors.html.
