Options for upgrading CS5 to CS6 without this subscription stuff?
I am finally at a point where I would like to upgrade, but boy oh boy, does Adobe not want us upgrading from CS5 to CS6 or what? I have called and chatted with their cust-service folks and they push push push this CC thing. They don't want to discuss CS6. I did finally get a chat guy who pointed out I can "Buy" CS6 by putting it in my cart, clicking upgrade and then I see the upgrade pricing. It's $750, which is a tough nut for me to crack, but I'll do it if I am getting what I think I am getting. The fact that it will never again be upgraded kinda blows.
So I am asking you all advice. With CS5 I end up using mostly Premiere Pro and Soundbooth. Media Encoder, of course. And that's pretty much it. I don't tend to use After Effects since it really is antiquated and I was never any good at it.
It would be nice to have the features of the newer Premiere Pro since I am going to begin editing a micro-budgeted feature and maybe CS5 is just a tad too old. There's a lot it can't do that I'd like to remedy with a newer version.
Basically I need advice. The options make my head hurt. I'm just a little guy in a sea of big fish. Most of you will know more than me. I apologize if this all has been asked before. I didn't see anything recently posted in searches.
Most likely i am not seeing the option that is best for me due to my clouded, pig headed vision.
Thanks!
