Past Serial Number Question

Laptop OEMs do not pre-install Acrobat, only Adobe Reader.

If you registered your copy of Acrobat X using your AdobeID, there will be a record of it in your account history. If you bought your laptop second-hand with the software already installed or failed to register it then there's no way to retrieve the old license key once the program has been decativated and uninstalled.

if you purchased an upgrade, you should be able to install acrobat xi on the same computer with the older acrobat (without needing the older serial number), as long as the older acrobat is still installed.

if you purchased an upgrade, and are installing on a computer that does not have the older version, you will need the older serial number or you will need to exchange your upgrade for a full product purchase.
