Pathetic Download Instructions for Elements

I just purchased Elements 2020 over the telephone which was easy enough and have since gone through 2-3 hours of extreme pain getting it installed and now it looks like after that, it is stuck updating itself at 62%.  What BS.  The download instructions which came in an email after purchase, directs the user to the My Orders page but that is a several click process which is, of course, not explained and not intuitively obvious.  If I did my work the way the author of these download instructions does his, I would be sued into oblivion.  Adobe is a pathetic company and their customer service absolutely sucks.  Now that I see my new purchase is stuck updating itself I probably get to go through the process of voicemail loops and waiting on hold for an hour in order to reach a warm body with an incomprehensible Indian accent.  Screw Adobe.

Chuckmasters, sorry you have encountered so many obstacles with your purchase of Elements 2020. Do you receive any specific errors while trying to update Photoshop Elements 2020? If not, then the errors will be recorded within the log file. Please see https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/troubleshoot-install-using-logs-elements.html for information on how to locate and interpret the fatal errors that are preventing the update process from completing.
