Question

PC crashed, could not deactivate CS6. How can I reactivate it?

I've been using CS6 for many years and have it loaded on 2 machines. But one of my pcs has crashed  and the engineers have changed the motherboard. This PC now says I need to activate the trial 30 day software. So I put in my 24 digit code and it says I'm already activated on the max no. of PCs. So I think the new motherboard makes Adobe think it's a new PC. And I can't deactivate it from the old board as it's been replaced after it crashed. Please can someone help me as I'd like to get it working on both PCs.  Thank you.

contact adobe support and request an "activation count reset". ask for nothing else.

there are 2 ways to contact adobe; chat and twitter (now x):

chat:
use a browser that allows popups and cookies
and click here, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.

twitter/x:
tweet @AdobeCare

p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative.

Perfect.  This worked.  I had to speak to 2 agents, but it was successfully reactivated.  I'm very grateful for your advice.  Thank you.
