PC w/ system 7. PS Elements8. Need cost and directions for upgrading to latest version.

My pc runs system 7. I use PS Elements 8. I want to upgrade elements to the latest version. My questions are: Do I need to take system 8 out before installing the upgrade? Is there any known problems with this particular upgrade? What is the cost? Thx so much.

    If you go to the product page in the Adobe web site (http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-elements.html) you can see the pricing for purchasing the latest version of PSE.  If you live in the US, there is currently a special where you can buy the full version for less than the upgrade version... or at least that's what I see.

    You can remove the old version before installing the new one, but if you do purchase the upgrade, you will need the serial number from the old version to validate the upgrade installation (doesn't make sense to buy the upgrade though if the pricing is as I saw).
