Photoshop 2023 and 2024 Still Work After Updating to 2026 – Why?

My laptop’s C drive shows that Photoshop and Illustrator have both been updated to the 2026 versions, but the Adobe folders in my hard drive still contain Photoshop 2023 and 2024, and both of them can open and run normally. Why is that? Can anyone tell me?

@kglad My Adobe folder on my portable hard drive still contains Photoshop 2023 and 2024, and they both open and work fine.
