Photoshop 7 setup.exe won't start

Hello everyone !

Thank you for reading my question and taking some time to help me. Much appreciated

I have some troubles with my photoshop 7. When I click on the exec setup file, it starts and then stops. Nothing happens, no window, no error message, just the exec doesn't launch.

The setup exe seems to be running in the task manager but appart from this, zero.

I've tried the administrator mode, the XP compatibility mode, the installation files copied on the C drive, ... nothing works.

I'm running a Windows 7 64 bits system, 8GB ram, and an SSD drive on C:.

Could someone help me with this issue ?

I've looked into the previous discutions on this website about similar issue but it was on different versions of Photoshop.

If my question has been already asked, please forgive me as a first-time user of the adobe community !

Best regard

Hi This is Saurabh From India,

if you are facing this problem I will advise you that

(Win10)

  1. First click on Setup.exe (if still won't start),
  2. than go to your Task manager  find setup.exe than right click and go (Analyze wait chain),
  3. here you will see due to which process you are facing problem, it canbe one or more.
  4. Just note all the details and cancel the Setup Pop ,end all the details which you have noted also setup.exe .
  5. Than again click on Setup.exe

here you will see that same is working now.

note: File should be not currpot.

Yes Dear, PS7 is the most useful instead of the new versions.

PS7 is easily available on internet, low disk and memory use, in a low configuration system, works well most of the photo studios use this version now currently 70 80 % public are using PS7 only, even any institute also trains you in this version. whereas now many updated versions are available.
