Photoshop CS

I have my old original CS version of Photoshop with serial on back of the cover, it installs OK but wont register says try later. I've installed the Photoshop CC online as it states in trouble shooting. But I still cannot use my legit serial number?

I dont accept that it's not a good idea to run old versions, it runs on my Windows 8.1 laptop OK and takes my serial number but wont register online.

We pay a lot of money for Photoshop so older versions should be supported and be usable.

Any ideas please?

You only register Adobe software once.  If you mean that you are trying to activate it using the serial number, and you mean it when you say you have the CS version (not CS2, CS3, etc), then you cannot install it and activate it because there is no activation support for it any longer.  What you can do is download a special version of CS2 and use a special serial number assigned for it.  See the following:

    Error: Activation Server Unavailable | CS2, Acrobat 7, Audition 3 - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/creative-suite-2-activation-end-life.html

As far as Photoshop CC goes, serial numbers work for licensed software.  CC is not licensed software, it is subscription-based software, and even if it was licensed, your serial number is only good for the version it was purchased for.

Thanks, but I've tried from web site downlaoding Creative Cloud, then in the list I installed Photoshop CC but its a 30 day trial. I cannot se any links to "Special version of CS2".

I find it crazy how so much is charged for this software and then they no longer support it.

I provided the link for the CS2 in my response.  I did not say to do anything with CC versions since you do not own any, though you seem to keep trying for some reason - as mentioned, a CS license doesn't give you access to CC software..
