Photoshop CS2 installation issue

I had to clone my hard drive, and then CS2 didn't work anymore. I downloaded the individual programs from http://www.adobe.com/downloads/cs2_downloads/index.html, and they installed and ran OK except for Photoshop. At the end of the install I got this error message: "Error 1402.Could not open key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\...Adobe Photoshop CS2 - {236BB7C4-4419-42FD-0409-1E257A25E34D}. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel." I tried it as the administrator, etc., but I keep getting this message. What can I do?

Hello,

Thanks for trying, that solution didn't work out for me. I'm not really very tech-savvy, but I know that fooling around in the registry can get me in trouble...

Which operating system are you using?  Did you have Photoshop CS2 installed successfully prior to the activation servers being shut down?
