i have only osx10.6.8 which ran cs2 with no problem forever.  now i am required to activate, which requires uninstalling my cs2 which i did and installing a version from an adobe download that requires no activation.  i understand cs2 is no longer supported  by adobe, but i should still be able to use it regardless.  is there another download available that will work for my computer?

The non activation version linked by klad is compatible with Mac OSX 10.6.8 providing you have the optional Rosetta software loaded if you have an Intel Mac. OSX 10.6.8 was the last Mac OS that ran on both PowerPC Macs and Intel Macs.  If you have a PowerPC Mac then CS2 should also work.

Make sure any previous version of CS2 is completely removed and use only the new Serial Numbers listed on the linked site.
