Photoshop CS2 reinstall issues.

I have an old copy of Photoshop CS2 that I am trying to reinstall.  I have the serial number logged in my adobe account, but my physicalcopy cannot contact the server to activate.  I tried downloading the program directly from Adobe, but the downloaded version does not recognize my serial.  What else can I do to activate Photoshop CS2?

I figured it out.  I am an idiot.  I've been trying to install the full Creative Suite.  I only ever owned Photoshop.  Thank you for putting up with me.

Forget about your existing serial number. It will not work.

Download a special, non-activation copy of CS2 from Adobe

Error: "Activation Server Unavailable" | CS2, Acrobat 7, Audition 3

Install then enter the special, non-activation serial number listed at the link above. Your existing serial number will not work.

I managed to find the serial and get everything installed, so thank you for that, but when I start the program, it immediately errors out saying that my organization, username or serial is invalid and the program cannot continue.  What went wrong?
