Correct answer John T Smith

Adobe no longer provides support for CS3, so there is NO way to call for a code

CS3 activation server IS still working https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2209967

-and activate offline via chat https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2286195

Download & Install instructions https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2003339

-and many help and download links https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install.html

-kglad links in reply #1 here https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2296468 may help

-you will need to enter your original serial number during install for non-Cloud programs

Lost information - see reply #1 in https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2008767

- page has links to programs to find an installed serial number in Mac or Windows

- includes link to your Adobe account to check for registered serial numbers

- when you find your serial number(s) write them down and put in a desk drawer

CS3 is probably NOT going to install on a new Mac or Windows computer

CS6 and earlier programs have not been tested and will not be updated for Mac El Capitan/Sierra

-which means that you try to use CS6 and earlier at YOUR risk of having problems due to Apple updates

-Adobe has a fix to Apple's problem of not maintaining backward compatibility in El Capitan/Sierra

--several help links inside this message https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2301916

-also install OLD Java runtime if needed https://support.apple.com/kb/dl1572?locale=en_US

An idea that MAY work to install and/or run old programs in Windows 10... works for some, not for others

-RIGHT click the program icon or EXE and select a compatibility mode in the pop up option window

-or Run as Administrator http://forums.adobe.com/thread/969395 to assign FULL Windows permissions may help... says Encore, but sometimes required for ALL Adobe programs (this is NOT the same as using an Administrator account)

-or more on permissions https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2293598

NOTE - Win10 anniversary update version 1607 has caused MAJOR problems with old programs, so the above may not work

You can't. The activation server was closed down in the 5 years since this message.

Oh, it absolutely DOES.

I have installed PSCS3 to a new work MacBook running macOS sierra - (and so far is still working under the High Sierra beta I installed a few days ago) - you WILL need to take the Java for OSX Lion or greater update from Apple, (apparently there are some older libraries now long deprecated that it needs) and I rumbled my boss for the old Windows disk we have and installed it to this very machine - Win 10 w/ Creator's Update - and it's running just fine.
