Photoshop CS5 Update (unable to install 12.0.4 - error: update not applicable)

Hello - I'm new to this forum, so please forgive me if my question is somehow out of line. I need to update Adobe Photoshop CS5. Purchased it for company use in 2011 (purchased in DVD format). I recently installed it on a new computer (iMac running El Capitain 10.11.1). I downloaded Adobe Photoshop 12.0.4 update for Adobe Photoshop CS5, but when I run it, I get error "update is not applicable." Can't contact customer support - seems the forums are my only hope. Thanks.

Hi Serottacsi,

Adobe creative suite CS 5 is a very old software and the operating system you are using is the latest, hence there could be compatibility issues as adobe has not tested these apps on the latest operating systems.

However, you can try downloading & installing the update for Adobe Photoshop CS 5 from the following link:

If you get any problems running the installer, turn off gatekeeper temporarily by setting it to "Anywhere". CS5 updates are not "signed" and may be blocked by the default setting.
